Billionaire Jeff Bezos’ space travel company, Blue Origin, has tapped former Amazon executive Dave Limp as its new CEO.
Limp will replace current Blue Origin CEO Bob Smith following his retirement on Dec. 4.
In a statement, Blue Origin characterized Limp’s hiring as one based off of his “extensive experience in the high-tech industry and growing highly complex organizations” and as “a proven innovator with a customer-first mindset.”
Limp previously resigned from his 13-year role at Amazon in an unexpected move last month.
