Meta-owned international messaging application WhatsApp announced a new video clip messaging feature this week, which is expected to roll out during updates scheduled for the coming weeks.
The feature will allow users to send end-to-end encrypted video clips up to 60 seconds long to other WhatsApp users or group chats on the platform.
The company also announced that there will be ways to record the clips hands-free akin to its voicenote feature.
As of 2023, WhatsApp currently has more than 2 billion active monthly users.
