Popular social media platform TikTok may be looking to further develop its internal messaging feature, according to new job listings posted by the company.
The listings, offering product and technical management positions, purportedly reference TikTok’s “messaging team” throughout.
While TikTok already hosts a messaging feature within its application, the messenger’s accessibility is far from seamlessly integrated throughout the platform as in the case of its competitors.
Expanding this feature is likely to make it easier for users to communicate with one another on the platform, which could resultantly increase the valuable number of minutes its users spend on TikTok instead of other applications.
