On Thursday, billionaire Elon Musk took to the stage in Austin, Texas to reveal new details surrounding Tesla’s highly-anticipated pickup truck, the Cybertruck.
According to Musk, the cybertruck is capable of towing 11,000 pounds and accelerating from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.6 seconds.
The rear-wheel drive base model will purportedly come with a 250 mile range battery while the all-wheel drive model will have a 340 mile range.
While Musk failed to discuss pricing during his talk, Tesla’s website was updated later in the day with a new $80,000 price tag for the rear-wheel drive base model Cybertruck – double the $40,000 figure first touted during the vehicle’s initial announcement in 2019.
