Apple released its latest software update, iOS 17.4, on Tuesday, which comes with not only a new set of emojis but also expanded features.
First, any podcast episodes loaded in the Apple Podcast app will now include transcripts. The text, available in English, Spanish, French and German, highlight in sync with the audio, and is also now searchable.
The new operating system also improved its Stolen Device Protection. With this feature turned on, a thief that stole an iPhone won’t be able to access it and lock out the owner. Instead it would require more authentication to access certain information or make changes.
Additional updates include music recognition that let you adds songs to your library and more details about the phone’s battery health in the settings. Siri can also now announce messages in any support language, and caller ID will display company information, including name and logo, if available, for Apple-verified businesses.
