When it comes to consumer spending this holiday season, retailers seem concerned that Americans aren’t going to feel in the giving spirit.
According to data from Adobe Analytics, early Black Friday discounts in October outpaced those implemented by retailers in October 2022.
Prices were reportedly down 6% across all categories year-over-year last month, signaling retailers’ worries that consumers’ holiday spending will hit a slump in November and December.
But for those with a little extra cash to spare, this year’s extensive discounts could just bring the family a little extra cheer under the Christmas tree.
