Controversy over the way Burger King markets its signature Whopper burger could hand the fast food chain a whooping in court.
On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Roy Altman ruled Burger King must face a lawsuit alleging that its marketing depiction of Whoppers misleads customers.
The suit claims that Burger King’s advertising shows Whoppers with 35% more ingredients and double the meat than the chain actually serves.
Now that the chain’s bid to dismiss the suit has been rejected by Judge Altman, Burger King may just have to swallow its potentially costly mistake.
