Elon Musk’s Tesla has posted a teaser video on X promoting an October 7 launch event, sparking speculation that the electric carmaker may be preparing to debut a new vehicle.
In a nine-second clip shared on X, Tesla showcased a vehicle with headlights on in a dark setting, featuring a spinning component that many online users believe could be part of a vehicle’s interior.
The company also teased an event happening on Tuesday in a separate video ending with ’10/7.’
The teaser follows Tesla’s record quarterly deliveries for the three-month period ending in September, fueled by increased EV sales before the $7,500 U.S. EV tax credit expired on September 30.
Although sales have increased, analysts expect a decline in the coming months if the EV credit is not available.
Tesla stock jumped 2% following the video’s release.
