Stellantis and Microsoft today announced a five-year strategic partnership focused on accelerating Stellantis’ digital transformation by jointly developing advanced AI, cybersecurity, and engineering capabilities.
The companies issued a joint announcement stating that their collaboration will combine Stellantis’ automotive engineering expertise, multi-brand scale, and global reach with Microsoft’s cloud, AI, and security capabilities to enhance more robust, agile, and connected digital processes within its ecosystem.
Stellantis, as part of the partnership, will fast-track the upgrade of its IT infrastructure on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform, aiming for a 60% decrease in its data center footprint by 2029.
The joint teams will collaborate on over 100 AI initiatives, focusing on areas such as product development and validation, predictive maintenance and testing, and accelerating the rollout of digital features and services.
No financial details of the deal were provided.
