Intuit executive Alex Chriss has been chosen as PayPal Holdings new CEO, PayPal announced Monday.
The appointment ends PayPal’s monthslong search for a CEO after the company’s current executive, Dan Schulman, announced he would be retiring in February.
Chriss is expected to begin his position as PayPal CEO on Sept. 27.
PayPal’s shares rose 2.4% on Monday following the announcement.
