Vice President Harris is teaming up with former Republican congresswoman Liz Cheney. The pair are taking their “moderated conversations” to three Great Lakes swing states: Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Liz Cheney and Kamala Harris appealed directly to Republican voters who may consider supporting the Democrats but are concerned about facing threats or criticism from their peers.
“They do worry about a whole range of things, including violence … but they’ll do the right thing,” Cheney said. “And I would just remind people: If you’re at all concerned, you can vote your conscience and not ever have to say a word to anybody. And there will be millions of Republicans who do that on Nov. 5.”
“I believe so strongly, that in this election … we need to elect the person who is the responsible adult,” said Cheney in Michigan’s event.
Cheney’s opposition to Trump led the House GOP to remove her as conference chair in 2021. She served as Vice Chair of the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the US Capitol. She later endorsed Harris after crossing the aisle.
“From my vantage point, she is not alone,” Harris says.
Meanwhile, former President Trump took to Truth Social about Cheney; “Arab Voters are very upset that Comrade Kamala Harris, the Worst Vice President in the History of the United States and a Low IQ individual, is campaigning with “dumb as a rock” War Hawk, Liz Cheney, who, like her father, the man that pushed Bush to ridiculously go to War in the Middle East, also wants to go to War with every Muslim Country known to mankind,”
Current public opinion polls indicate a close race for the presidency, with most surveys showing that less than 10% of Republicans support the Democrats.
