U.S. automaker giant Ford Motor Company reportedly recalled 870,000 of the brand’s full-sized F-150s due to unprompted parking brake engagement issues, even while driving.
First posting the recall notice on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s site, Ford is expected to mail out recall notices to F-150 owners around Sept. 11 of this year.
The recall applies to some single exhaust pipe model F-150s from between 2021 and 2023.
Owners affected by the recall will be asked to bring their truck into their local Ford dealership where necessary work on the wiring harness will be performed at no-cost.
