Covid-19 vaccine manufacturer stocks rose Monday as the pharmaceutical companies prepare the roll out of updated vaccines for the virus’ newest strains.
One of the newest strains, known as Eris, is thought to be the most dominant Covid strain in the United States at this time.
In anticipation of the new vaccines, Novavax’s stock closed with a 13% bump Monday while Moderna’s stock closed with a 9% increase.
BioNTech shares also received a 6% hike while Pfizer’s stock rose 1%.
