U.S. retailer Walmart has begun cutting the starting pay for its new hires, specifically those who fulfill online orders and stock its stores’ shelves.
Walmart reportedly first introduced the pay cuts back in July, which brought new hires’ wages down by around a dollar-per-hour.
According to Walmart spokesperson Anne Hatfield, no staffers already employed by Walmart received a pay cut.
The company went on to note that it implemented a pay bump for 50,000 experienced employees in July.
