A Hamas network consisting of three individuals and one charity, as well as one Hamas-controlled financial institution were sanctioned by the Treasury Department for financing terrorism, according to the Treasury Department yesterday.
“As we mark one year since Hamas’s brutal terrorist attack, Treasury will continue relentlessly degrading the ability of Hamas and other destabilizing Iranian proxies to finance their operations and carry out additional violent acts,” said Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen. “The Treasury Department will use all available tools at our disposal to hold Hamas and its enablers accountable, including those who seek to exploit the situation to secure additional sources of revenue.”
This is the eight round of sanctions against Hamas’ support network since the 7 October 2023 attacks.
The regulations of the Treasury Department prohibit all transactions by US perons or people within the United States regarding property held by these persons.
