U.S. coffee giant Starbucks revealed new plans for the chain on Thursday, including a goal to open 17,000 new locations by 2030.
Currently boasting 38,000 locations worldwide, the planned stores are set to bring Starbucks global tally to 55,000 international locations.
“Three out of every four new stores over the near term are expected to be opened outside of the U.S. as our store portfolio becomes increasingly global,” said Starbucks’ international division president Michael Conway.
Likewise, the company unveiled plans to slash the company’s costs by $3 billion and to up wages for its in-store baristas.
