After a month filled with losses, the S&P 500, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the Nasdaq Composite closed with gains on Monday.
Stocks floundered in September following news that the Federal Reserve would maintain high interest rates for longer than anticipated.
However, the S&P 500 rose .4%, the Dow .13% and the Nasdaq .45% by closing Monday.
Monday’s gains ended the S&P 500, the Dow and Nasdaq’s four-day consecutive losing streaks.
