September’s cyberattack on MGM Resorts International will reportedly cost the casino giant $100 million on its third financial quarter results, the company announced Thursday.
According to MGM, customers’ private data – including contact information, driver’s license numbers, gender and date of birth – were compromised during the attack.
“We also believe a more limited number of Social Security numbers and passport numbers were obtained,” said the casino.
MGM declined to say whether it paid any form of ransom to the hackers.
