Medicare benefits were available to 72% of private industry workers and 89% of stat and local government workers in March 2024 according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data published today.
Meanwhile 79% of prvate industry workers and 92% of state and local workers had access to paid sick leave.
The highest coverage was for management, business and financial workers among civilian workers with 94% while workers in the service industry had 52% coverage.
Only 26% of part-time workers had access to medical care benefits compared to 89% of full-time workers.
