McDonald’s’ “Best Burger,” an improved version of its regular burger is now available at locations across the U.S., although the launch began about a year ago. The burger is expected to be available in almost all markets McDonald’s serves by the end of 2026.
While the patty is unchanged, the chain made changes to cooking and assembly, including cooking fewer at one time to improve flavor.
Additionally, onions are added before cooking so they can soak up juices, the buns have been improved and the cooked burgers are kept at hotter temperatures.
Although the burgers may taste better, “I’m doubtful that this drives traffic,” BTIG analyst Peter Saleh said. “I think this is probably just part of the process of upping your game over time. A lot of these concepts have to improve the quality of their food over time.”
