Major music streaming service Spotify is set to lay off 1,500 of its employees, the company announced Monday.
The cuts will reportedly slash Spotify’s staff by 17%.
“Economic growth has slowed dramatically and capital has become more expensive. Spotify is not an exception to these realities,” said Spotify CEO Daniel Ek.
Spotify previously laid off another 500 employees back in January.
