According to newly released data from the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller US National Home Price Index, U.S. home prices rose .9% in August to reach a record high in the country.
This marks the seventh consecutive month that home prices have increased in the United States.
The national composite index also reportedly rose 2.6% year-over-year from last August, said Case-Shiller.
Despite sky-high mortgage rates, analysts say continued low inventory has contributed to the rising price of homes.
