US gas prices reach annual high

With the U.S. oil price per barrel surging past $92, gas prices rose to their highest level yet in 2023 Monday.

The national average price hit $3.88 at the start of the week, the highest gas price in the country since October 2022.

This is a $0.05 increase from just last week.

Gas prices are expected to keep rising as Saudi Arabia and Russia’s oil supply cuts continue.
