On Saturday, the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists labor union announced it will resume negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers following a two-week pause in talks between the two.
The negotiations are expected to include the labor union and the Hollywood studios’ top leadership, SAG-AFTRA and AMPTP said in a joint statement.
Some of SAG-AFTRA’s biggest stars, such as George Clooney, have reportedly offered to pay higher union dues and restructure royalty distribution in order to get actors back to work.
The resumption comes just weeks after the Writers Guild of America reached a deal with AMPTP after a five-month long strike.
