Americans will be able to file their 2023 tax returns as soon as Jan. 29, the U.S. Internal Revenue Service announced Monday.
The standard tax return filing deadline remains set for Monday, April 15.
However, Americans residing in recently disaster-struck areas may benefit from a tax relief delayed filing date listed on the IRS’s website.
Likewise, U.S. residents and citizens unable to make the filing deadline should apply for a six-month extension to prevent being charged a late filing fee.
