Auto making giant Ford is laying off approximately 700 workers involved in manufacturing the company’s electric F-150s, Ford announced Monday.
The company indicated it would be temporarily slashing one of three shifts at Ford’s Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn, Michigan.
According to Ford, the layoffs will be staggered across the three shifts.
However, Ford went on to say that the layoffs have nothing to do with the ongoing United Auto Workers strike.
