The NY stock markets showed slight gains on Monday, to end a month and a quarter with a clear positive tendency after the latest economic data and monetary panorama.
At the end of the session the Dow Jones industrial index rose 0.04% to 42330.15, the Standard & Poor¿s 500 rose 0.42% to 5762.48 and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.38% to to 18189.17.
Yesterday marked the seventh time in September that the Dow marked historical highs and sixth for the S&P.
The Nasdaq is 2.5% of its highest score and rose for fifth time in six days, as the market incorporated rising business confidence numbers, after analysts had expected them to decline.
