Maps showing the number of establishments, monthly average employment and quarterly wages in different Florida hurricane surge flood zones have been published by the US Department of Labor Statistics for impact and recovery planning purposes.
The map shows that there are 157,672 establishments in the affected areas in Florida and approximately 2 million jobs.
Tampa Bay with Pinellas, Hillsborough and Manatee counties will see approximately one-third of all establishments affected by the storm surges
Miami-Dade will see approximately 32,000 establishments effected by storm surges.
Hurricane Milton has been estimated as capable of provoking $175 billion in damages, according to estimate by analysts at Jefferies.
