On Monday, technology giant Amazon announced it’s investing up to $4 billion into artificial intelligence company Anthropic.
Amazon will become a partial owner as part of the deal while Anthropic will expand its use of Amazon Web Services.
Likewise, Anthropic is expected to use Amazon’s proprietary chips for its computing power and offer its AI services to AWS customers.
“With today’s announcement, customers will have early access to features for customizing Anthropic models, using their own proprietary data to create their own private models, and will be able to utilize fine-tuning capabilities via a self-service feature,” said Amazon at the time.
