An expected multi-league merger in one of America’s fastest growing sports may have found itself in a bit of a pickle.
The Professional Pickleball Association and Major League Pickleball, two of pickleball’s most high-profile professional leagues, previously announced their pending merger back in Nov. 2022.
However, the 10-month-long negotiations have reportedly stalled as the MLP has reportedly gone silent amid disputes with the MLP over player pay and match formats.
While it remains to be seen if the PPA and MLP can reach a resolution, the current status of the anticipated merger seems far from kosher.
