Digital nomadism is on the rise with about 30% of travelers planning to work remotely on one of their trips, going up to 39% of Gen Zers and 37% of Millenials, according to personal finance website ValuePenguin.com.
Many Gen Zers and Millenials are also planning once-in-a-lifetime vacations with 25% planning a “bucket list” vacation for the coming year.
Digital nomads will on average be making five trips while the overall average is three in the US.
According to travel website projectuntethered.com the number of digital nomads in the US rose from 4.8 million in 2018 to 15.5 million in 2021 with an average age of 32 years.
According to the website 49% of digital nomads earn the same salary or more than in their prior office jobs and 44% earn over $75,000 a year.
